The Lead singer of Maroon 5, Adam Levine be lookin' fine when he went for a drop crotch pant look, cropped jacket and loose micro-thin t-shirt, and finished it off with high lace-up boots. Of all guys who could have worn this, Adam pulled this off the best. I mean what sexy, skinny guy as him could have worn it better? I think he chose well for the Grammy's.
Singer Anna Nalick walked the red carpet in nude fluffy dress made of sheer fabric. The black bodice below the outer sheer fabric and the black embellishments along the border stand out. I know her best from that hit song way back when (Breathe 2 am). It's funny because this dress is impossibly hard to find out the designer, so leave it to our imaginations who designed this wonder. I'm halfway on it, part of it I like, but part of it I don't. If only the top layer of tulle-like material was not a long sleeve-esque shirt, and the top part of this dress only consisted of a black bustier, I would have completely different opinions on this dress.
Our favorite summer song lyrics "Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars, I could really use a wish right now" belonged to this crimson red jacket wearing, fellow rapper B.o.b. which he paired with studded jeans, and simple white button up. I'm glad one guy can spice things up on the red carpet than the normal all black get-up, or all white tux.
We have Bonnie McKee, who apparently writes songs now after having, uh ONE hit single called "somebody". She wrote popular songs Teenage Dream, California Gurls, and Dynamite, who knew? Okay enough about her, let's talk about this dress. It makes me think of the summertime, creamsicle anyone? This style of dress is called a 'mullet-dress'. Okay her bod looks good here, but this dress, but whyyyy! Enough said.
We all remember that popular song from middle school called "one, two step" by Ciara. What happened to her anyways over the years? Cell phone commercials, apparently. She shows up at the 2011 Grammys' in this number. To say the least, she's still 'got it' but this ultra-revealing printed chiffon gown from Emilio Pucci Spring 2011 by designer Peter Dundas dress still doesn't do her justice! I have no idea what she was thinking. Definitely on the worst dressed list.
Okay, miss Lauper the 80s are far over, even if your major hit 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' is still played in movies, etc. Showing up in this leather-esque suit/dress get up, and crazy colored hair updo doesn't have anyone impressed. What does she think she's doing? 'Nuff said.
Known for playing Quinn in the tv show Glee, Dianna Agron turns heads in this one of a kind sophisticated gothic look in a black bustier and matching skirt from Vivienne Westwood. I must say, I am a fan of her. Also, she's starring in the new movie "I am Number Four", which is pretty impressive. Move over Lea Michele, Dianna is taking over!
I used to be a major Degrassi junkie, that's where I first 'met' Drake. He was in a wheelchair, and still a basketball allstar on the show. He always had these rap mixtapes, who knew he'd be so famous after all that? Well at the Grammy's he showed up in his usual triple black ensemble in a Giorgio Armani tux, which he partnered with a glittering bow-tie. I must say, I am a fan of his music, from itunes not Degrassi. Either way, Drake is sexy on/off the show.
Eva Longoria, one of those stunning beauties no matter what age, still turns heads. She showed up in an Ashi studio mini dress with the large collar adding to the glamour. She paired the outfit with Brian Atwood pumps. Although her beauty may turn heads, this dress isn't exactly my taste. It's almost trying to hard to be classy in a sense. She has a great body, especially at her age, so why hide it under a weird frumpy collar thing? Whoever chose this dress, chose wrong. Maybe next time you'll get it right, Eva.
The famous song the 'Dog Days Are Over' sung by (Florence + the Machine), Florence Welch is all over the couture scene, which I wasn't aware about, yet very glad to hear she cares about high fashion. With a swan lake-esque styled impression, she wears a whimsical Versace Haute Couture gown. I have to say, I wasn't a huge fan of this dress, she could have done better and yes she has in the past. But let's especially focus on the back details on this dress, some type of coral feathered thing going on, not sure what that's all about. She'll do better next time, I have faith in her.
Oh, My, Gaga! So instead of a normal, you know when one walks themselves down the red carpet, Lady Gaga decides to be carried not only on an Egyptian style carrier, but in a freaking egg. Apparently she wants to be 'reborn' which is actually an amazing idea. She's got a weird way of showing her intelligence, but I know she has it, and I envy her for not being afraid of anything, even if she wore an outfit on the today show and Grammy stage consisting of latex.
We all know her from TV Guide, Fashion Police, blah blah blah, the boring, trend following tv host, who actually has terrible dress choices at major award events! Juliana Depandi, once again doesn't impress with a beige a-symmetrical dress, with a red ribbon band accentuating a high waist line, and a 1940s party dress style with layers. Hard to describe, and hard to wear, she has a good body for her age, but this dress, the tone especially blends with her skin, and I don't like the a-symmetrical on her. Better luck next time! P.S. Do you think on the tv show Fashion Police her co-stars criticize Giuliana's Grammy dress? They probably lie and say how much they like it, sadly.
Hayley freaking Williams (from band Paramore), I don't even know where to begin. Her hair to begin, is on fire. Why would someone EVER need hair that bright of red/orange? It's downright ridiculous. Okay, enough about her hair color, let's go on to her GRAMMY dress. This dress, can you even call it that? Or a last minute goth princess ballerina costume? Come on, well the top sequin see through part is acceptable, and add that onto a flowing black gown would look great, but no that isn't how it goes. The sequin, black see through part looks like a tank top, and she wears a hot pink tutu with it. Yes, I said hot pink tutu if you didn't read that right. Take a horrible look for yourself.
The famous supermodel/tv show host/mommy, Heidi Klum never ceases to amaze us. In a Julien Macdonald figure-hugging golden gown which showed off her curves amazingly. She had kids, what? Yeah exactly, this woman can pull off any style of gown she wants, being 37 years old. This is a woman who knows how to dress to impress, lemme tell ya. Just take a glance for yourself.
Another familiar Glee face, Jenna Ushkowitz who stars on Glee as Tina. Now first of all I'd like to say how adorable this tulle Pamela Dennis concoction dress is! I don't understand why everyone is hating on it. Yes it's out of the ordinary, but that's what Grammy dresses are all about, hello! Also her figure is perfect for it. I'm so glad she didn't over accessorize, that would have ruined the overall outlook on her. I think she pulled this off beautifully, screw the haters!
After losing a dramatic amount of weight, Jennifer Hudson has looked incredible lately. With her lovely blue Versace gown at the Grammy's, I wasn't so impressed. First of all, this isn't the Romeo and Juliet era, her boobs don't need to be pushed up to her neck, and another think about the bust, bra's aren't meant to be visible, especially at a classy event such as this. I mean don't get me wrong, this isn't a beautiful dress because it is, but all attention goes to the cleavage, and not the beautifully detailing unfortunately. Oh well, try again Jennifer.
Baby bumps must be another new trend this season, sporting one here is Jewel in a one-shouldered cream Pamela Roland chiffon dress. This is definitely on my best dressed list, I mean look how the color matches so beautifully with her skin tone, and hair color. There's no better color she could have chosen. Although I'm not crazy about the style of the dress, it's still simply gorgeous, who knew she's even pregnant with a cowboy's baby? Cheers to you Jewel, well done.
Jennifer Lopez's lyrics from Get Right "Ya lookin' just a little too hard at me, standin' just a little too close to me" don't even compare how she presented herself at the Grammy's in an Emilio Pucci mini dress with a plunging neckline. Whoa, what a hot mama we've got on our hands. I especially am a fan of this sequined, glass mirror trend. And man, she hit the spot perfectly with this little number. The crazy thing is she can still pull off anything at her age, what an amazing body. I personally would have created the dress a tad longer for her, but hey she can pull of anything, so go J.Lo!
From the sweet souled singer "one mile to every inch of your skin like porcelain, one pair of candy lips and your bubblegum tongue", John Mayer's lyrics always get the best of us. As for his fashion, you'd never know that this man wrote these amazing songs. Just a plain guy, wearing aviators a crème colored jacket, white button up shirt, black slacks and dress shoes. Who knew he had such a beautiful heart.
The 2007 American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks. Everyone is a big fan of her, very fond of her too, I'll admit to liking her music with lyrics such as "tell me how i'm supposed to breathe with no air?" Back to the real story though, her 2011 Grammy dress. Was this a hit or miss? I'm gonna go with her Zang Toi red gown was a hit! I really loved the color with her skin tone, it was very put together. Who cares if it matches with the freakin' carpet? She really stands out and looks great! (even with the new mullet-style trend gown style).
Well folks, we've got ourselves a Julianne Hough on our hands. I have nothing against a singing, commercial appearing, ballroom dancing woman, but Julianna is just too much for me. Let's put that aside and focus on her 2011 Catherine Malandrino Grammy gown, and put aside her uber annoying pro-active commercials. Well, it's another flowy, long kinda dress. Yawn, the print I do enjoy, but I just want to see her in something more interesting. Not necessarily 'showy' as they may say, but something I want to look at for hours, and admire. This dress just seems like a bad choice for her, and her annoying personality. But hey, the dress could be worse, so let's be glad she chose this one.
One line, one phrase "I'm a Belieber". Okay, enough with the obsession. Let's say this precious boy, only at 16 walking the red carpet, pretty amazing. Justin Bieber wore a neck-to-toe white D&G outfit, which I thought he pulled off well. There's a secret going around that apparently he forgot to zip his fly? Well, people can joke about his age and such, but it happens. Being discovered on youtube, having millions of fans, a movie, multiple singles, etc doesn't happen every day to a 14 year old boy, so all the haters out there are just jealous! Who couldn't love this cute face.
"I kissed a girl, and I liked it" singer Katy Perry is anything but an angel, but what does she decide to show up in to the Grammy's you ask? She wore out a custom-made Giorgio Armani evening dress (if you can call it a dress) featuring a Swarovski crystal encrusted bustier and an iridescent silk organza ruffled skirt. But, the feathery angel wings were created by Giorgio Armani. Many were left speechless, and so was I. What was she thinking? Also, why did she drag her poor grandmother to this event, was she trying to show us her non-crazy side or something rather, because frankly the outfit said enough.
Kelly Osbourne has had her ups and down in the past, especially with Fashion. This year at the Grammy's me, and many others I'm sure were quite impressed with how soft, and sweet she looked! I just adored the lilac color with her skin and blonde hair. Her ruffled Tadashi Shoji dress was just made for her! I'm inspired myself to go out and find a dress like this for a party. Props to her for looking so elegant.
Known for her popular pop hit "Knock You Down", this R&B singer is becoming more and more popular each day. Every time I see a photo of her, it seems as though she has a different hair style. I'm not talking a trim, I'm talking a whole new color, style, cut, you name it! I don't know how she does it. Unlike her hair, her dress is anything but uncertain, she wore an aqua blue Basil Soda Fall 2010 Couture mini dress with specific detail, and flare, which looked absolutely fabulous on her. She flaunts it well with her glowing skin, and lovely hair. I'm a fan of her music, and her clothing choices (for once). Congrats to Keri, this dress will never be forgotten.
Where to begin, but to say I didn't know that a Mariah Carey styled dress from say, 15 years ago was back in style? Oh, Kim Kardashian we love your consistent goddess-like look, and strut but this Kaufman Franco glitter gown, that you had to have tailored just so your big butt would fit into it, just didn't work for us. Don't get me wrong, it's a simply gorgeous dress, but way over-worn, if you get what I mean. It's one of those trends that never seems to die. Maybe someday people will understand that this type of dress has gotta go, sometime. Her make-up and hair was beautiful though, as usual.
The most well-known Glee star, Lea Michele also known as Rachel on the show struts her stuff in this gorgeous Emilio Pucci dress, it really accentuates her figure well, showing every curve. This is quite a sexy dress, especially for someone her age, and what she stands for. Usually on Glee, she wouldn't wear anything like this, or even on the street. It's simply gorgeous though, and she can definitely pull it off! Keep it goin' Lea Michele.
This rapper sang these lovely lyrics "I say he so sweet make her wanna lick the wrapper
So I let her lick the wrapper", we also know him as Lil' Wayne. Having multiple number one singles, jail time, tattoos and women. Setting that aside, on the red carpet, Lil' Wayne rocks some black slacks, a white v-neck, a dark blue cardigan, and of course lookin' fly with a cigar. A cardigan, really Lil Wayne? Doesn't seem like your style, and I think that a cardigan was a little bit too casual for this event. I like his music, but his style needs some work.

Leaving Hannah Montana behind, Miley Cyrus is finally becoming her tattooed, salvia smoking, rebel self. I still love her though! Although being a fan of her, recently her clothing choices have made me question her. I mean an animal skull necklace? What's that about. Onto her Grammy dress, I was very impressed. Many are making fun of her because of a side view of her boob, which is hilarious but beside that mishap it's a beautiful animal print Roberto Cavalli gown. She has come a long way in fashion, and will continue to impress us.
This rapper started off as an unfamous chick rapping in popular songs, but now Nicki Minaj has started a phenomenon. Some say she copies Lady Gaga, with her outstanding, ridiculous fashion, but over-all i'm a fan, no matter how crazy she is. Her choice of a grammy outfit is questionable, I love the fact that it was taken straight from the runway. This leopard print outfit by Givenchy Haute Couture is meant to stay on the runway in my opinion. Where to even begin with her hair for the Grammy's, ohmygod it's like straight up Ms. Frankenstein. She definitely turned heads that night, maybe even more than Lady Gaga's egg appearance, looks like we have a cat fight, hiss hiss.
Famously known for singing the song that goes something like "I got a pocket, got a pocketful of sunshine. I got a love and I know that it's all mine.", singer Natasha Bedingfield shows up in a see through white and blue floral dress, with aqua blue sequined embellishments at the bust. I just don't find myself loving this dress, what did she call up her grandma saying "Hey grammy, I need a dress for the Grammys, can I borrow a floral night gown? I'll add some sequins or something to make it cute, thanks so much!" No, floral is out, for now. The sequins don't do anything for this dress, and her retro hair waves, what are you in your 50s? I don't think so. Sporting 'old' hair-do's you don't do - until your old. So for now wear cute young hairdo's, while you still can. Love you Natasha, your music anyways.
This actress, dating country singer Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman always dresses to impress, and yes folks she's done it again. She wore a mermaid gown in lovely shades with soft ruches accented with frills by Jean Paul Gaultier. This gown is on so many worst-dressed lists, I can see that most folks don't particularly have a good sense of fashion, they like flashy, sequined, short stuff, not that there's anything wrong with that. But this classic number is just what we needed to see on the red carpet this year, and none other than the amazing, beautiful Nicole Kidman to pull it off, gold stars for her.
Leave it to Ricky Martin to wear Ricky a Giorgio Armani shawl collar evening jacket with skinny tie, silver jeggings and Emporio Armani lace-up boots. Silver jeggings, REALLY? Sure he's hot and all, but jeggings are a no-no on the red carpet for goodness sakes! I couldn't disagree more with his outfit. From the waist up he looks like a well dressed man, but show the jeggings and it completely changes my mind. I don't know what he were thinking, but I hope after this fashion mistake someone goes through his closet and throws out all the jeggings he owns.
For starters, I have never been a fan of Rihanna's intense red hair color, yet I enjoy her music so I guess it levels out. Her Jean Paul Gaultier dress from the Spring 2011 Haute Couture Collection definitely turned heads. Honestly, after this pretty much nude dress she can pull off anything, and not many can say that, very few actually. Taken straight from the runway, after the show even being miserably sick she snatched it because she couldn't take her eyes off of it, and neither could we. This dress definitely is on my best dressed list!
If anyone's got the major Bieber Fever, it's gotta be Selena Gomez. Apparently they are officially dating, we'll see how long that lasts, ah teen love. At the grammy's she wowed and aahed audiences around the nation in a sparkly J Mendel gown with a plunging neckline. From being recognizable from the Disney Channel, she sure has matured a lot. I was very impressed by this dress, it wasn't a teenage get up with sequins and what not, but a true adult woman dress. This girl is dating the Biebs? How on earth did he manage that. Well much luck for their teenage romance to last.
Look it's our little 4ft 9 jersey shore trouble maker, Snookie. Now on the Red Carpet, I wouldn't expect anything different from her than a short sparkly silver number, with extreme shoulder detail with the shoulder pads. Shockingly, this dress wasn't plunging in the neckline, which all of us would expect, but it was more modest which is a plus. We've all (unfortunately) seen enough of her cleavage on Jersey Shore. To me, she actually looked sophisticated for once with winged eye liner, and a side pony. I hope she keeps this sophistication up, but who are we kidding? It's Snookie.
Last, but not least we have the amazing Usher. The man who has had countless girls and women drooling over him (and probably some guys too) because of his sexy swag, slick dance moves, and number one hits. We all remember the song from back in the day "take that and rewind it back, Lil' Jon got the rhythm make ya booty go clap". Lookin' fly as always, on the red carpet he rocks a grey shirt with dark grey collar detail, a leather-esque jacket, a grey pant, and a futuristic shoe with a with lapel detailed with brown straps, and a black dress toe. Of course, he's rocking shades as well, as he always does. May I point out just one thing about Usher, I don't know if I've ever seen his eyes, he always wears sunglasses indoors and out, one of life's greatest mysteries.
